Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Unicards (unicards.fr), a free online editor for fan-made, Magic-style card sets. Unicards is published by DATATOY SASU (see the legal notice). By using Unicards you accept these terms; if you create an account you also confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Unicards is free. Editing works in your browser without an account; an optional account syncs your sets across devices and lets you upload images. No feature is reserved to paying users. We may change, improve or discontinue features at any time. The service is provided “as is”: keep your own copies of important work (Export ▸ CSV / PDF / PNG).
2. Accounts
You must give a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what is done with your account. To create an account you must be at least 15 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see contact).
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the cards, texts and images you create or upload (“your content”). You are solely responsible for it. In particular, you must own the rights to, or have permission for, every image and text you upload, link or publish (artwork, logos, names), and your content must not be unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, violent, sexually explicit or otherwise harmful.
Images you upload are stored on our hosting provider and served at a public, hard-to-guess address so that the editor and the renderer can display them: anyone who has that address can view the image. Do not upload private images.
We only use your content to operate the service for you (store, sync, render, export) — except if you opt in to the showcase below.
4. Public showcase (opt-in only)
Showing your cards publicly is off by default. For each set you can choose “Allow Unicards to showcase my cards publicly” (Set ▸ Public gallery…) and exclude individual cards. Only if you opt in, you grant DATATOY a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable licence to reproduce and display images of the opted-in cards, as rendered by Unicards, on unicards.fr (for example the landing page and the community gallery), together with your account name as the creator credit. The date of your consent is recorded.
- Every card is reviewed before it appears. Editing a showcased card sends it back for review.
- You can withdraw your consent for a set or a card at any time in the same dialog: the cards are removed from the site immediately (copies already cached by visitors' browsers may remain visible to them for up to 24 hours).
- The licence does not transfer ownership and does not allow us to sell your content or use it outside unicards.fr.
5. Moderation
We may refuse, hide or remove any showcased card, and remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law, with or without notice. Rights holders and anyone who wants to report unlawful content can write to gabriel@datatoy.fr with the address of the content and the reason; we act promptly on valid notices.
6. Fan content
Unicards is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy. It is not approved or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast, and is not affiliated with, sponsored or approved by Wizards of the Coast. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC. Magic: The Gathering and its symbols are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC. Unicards is free; cards made with it are for personal, non-commercial use and play-testing — do not sell them or present them as official products.
7. Donations
Donations (“Support us”) are entirely voluntary. They are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms; we never see your card details. A donation does not unlock any feature or give any right or service in return, and Unicards stays free with or without it. Donations are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
8. Liability
We do our best to keep Unicards available and your data safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the service is free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, DATATOY is not liable for indirect damage or loss of data; nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
9. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced on the site. These terms are governed by French law. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Paris, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers (who may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform or a consumer mediator).
